De ce nu e bine sa mananci repede?



Atunci cand vine vorba de mancare, nu este recomandat sa mananci repede. Cercetarile prezentate la American Heart Association’s Scientific Sessions in California sugereaza ca persoanele care mananca mai incet sunt predispuse unui risc mai mic de a deveni obeze sau de a dezvolta sindromul metabolic, care este asociat cu accidentul vascular cerebral, bolile de inima si diabetul.

In 2008, o echipa de cercetatori japonezi, condusi de medicul cardiolog Takayuki Yamaji de la Universitatea Hiroshima, au recrutat pentru un studiu mai mult de 1.000 de adulti japonezi sanatosi. Acestia i-au rugat sa isi caracterizeze rapiditatea mancatului si le-au monitorizat starea de sanatate pentru urmatorii 5 ani. Optzeci si patru de persoane au fost diagnosticate cu sindrom metabolic in acesti cinci ani, existand o legatura clara intre mancatul rapid si dezvoltarea afectiunii. Rata incidentei a fost de 11,6% in randul consumatorilor rapizi, 6,5% in randul consumatorilor normali si doar 2,3% in randul consumatorilor lenti. De asemenea, persoanele care mananca repede se pot ingrasa mai tare, li se mareste circumferinta taliei si au un nivel mai ridicat al zaharului in sange.

Aceste rezultate nu sunt atat de surprinzatoare. Multe cercetari au aratat ca acest consum rapid al alimentelor este asociat cu cresterea in greutate si alte probleme de sanatate. Probabil ca mananci mai mult pentru ca mananci repede. Si nu iti dai seama ce ai mancat. Cand mananci incet, esti mult mai constient de ceea ce mananci. Mesteci in mod corespunzator mancarea si incetinesti digestia. Iar aceste lucruri te ajuta sa te simti plin pentru o perioada mai lunga de timp.

Specialistii spun ca o masa ar trebui sa dureze cel putin 30 de minute, iar cel mai rau lucru pe care il poti face este sa mananci in timp ce lucrezi. Mananca intr-un loc care este favorabil mancatului – bucatarie, restaurant, sala de mese. Daca esti la birou, nu ar trebui sa lucrezi in acelasi timp in care mananci. Chiar daca mananci in doar 30 de minute, este mai bine decat daca ai manca in 10 minute si ai mai raspunde si la e-mailuri in acelasi timp. Daca ai tendinta de a inhala mancarea, va trebui sa incetinesti. Poti manca impreuna cu un prieten, poti taia alimentele in bucati mai mici, poti mesteca mai mult, poti respira adanc sau poti pune furculita jos intre guri.
